I have been extremely interested in the arena of photography which allows for thought to be misplaced, nearly forgotten, focusing on the abstract realism. This creates a sense of naturalism which allows for the viewer to connect with the piece as something tangible. This mysterious quality captivates my audience, as well as entrancing me, the artist. A recent series of photographs utilizes the macro capabilities of photography by taking a viewer nearly inside the object being photographed. The sequence, entitled “Color Jive,” is a combination of four elements. This combination allows for the creation of vibrant colored bubbles, patterns, and sharp contrasted illustrations. Through the use of these components, I was able to create abstract landscapes all while capturing the bubble’s fluid flow that spontaneously occurrs.
